terms of service

these terms govern your use of autocaptionr (the “service”), operated at autocaptionr.com and app.autocaptionr.com. by signing in or making a purchase, you agree to them.

1. the service

autocaptionr lets you upload a video and download a captioned version. cost is 1 credit per minute of video, rounded up. (a 30-second clip costs 1 credit; a 4:10 clip costs 5 credits.) credits are purchased in fixed packages.

2. your account

you sign in with google. you’re responsible for activity under your account. don’t share your sign-in. let us know immediately at support@autocaptionr.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. credits and payment

• credits are purchased in fixed packages of 90, 190, 390, or 590.
• credits never expire while your account is active.
• each successful generation costs 1 credit per minute of video, rounded up.
• if a generation fails on our side, credits are automatically refunded to your balance.
• payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy. we don’t see or store card data.

4. non-refundable purchases

all credit purchases are final and non-refundable. once a credit package is paid for, the credits are added to your account and cannot be refunded for cash. this includes unused credits and credits purchased by accident.

the only refund mechanism we offer is the automatic credit-back for generations that fail due to our processing infrastructure. that refund is issued in credits, not in cash.

5. acceptable use

you agree not to use the service to process video that:

• infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property rights you don’t hold,
• contains illegal content (CSAM, violent threats, etc.),
• is intended to harass, defame, or impersonate any person, or
• violates applicable law.

we may suspend or terminate accounts that misuse the service, with or without notice. credits in suspended accounts are not refundable.

6. your content

you keep ownership of videos you upload and captions we generate from them. you grant us a limited license to process your video solely to provide the service — that is, to transcribe, render captions, and return the output to you.

we don’t use your videos to train models, market the product, or share with third parties beyond the processing subprocessors listed in our privacy policy.

7. service availability

we work hard to keep the service up, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted access. planned maintenance, third-party outages (fal.ai, Convex, Google, Lemon Squeezy), and bugs can affect availability. failed generations are refunded automatically in credits.

8. disclaimer of warranties

the service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. caption accuracy depends on audio quality, language, and speaker clarity. we don’t guarantee perfect transcription.

9. limitation of liability

to the maximum extent permitted by law, autocaptionr is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. changes to these terms

we may update these terms. material changes will be announced via email or in-app notice. continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.

11. termination

you can delete your account anytime by emailing support@autocaptionr.com. we can suspend accounts that violate these terms. unused credits at the time of termination are forfeited.
